Description: Multiple openings for an Human Resources Manager – Labor Relations with a billion dollar food manufacturer. Openings in Virginia, New York City, Chicago, and Louisville, KY areas. The company is upgrading its’ HR organization and seeking world class HR professionals with strong generalist background. Must have union/labor relations experience.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for providing HR guidance to all employees within their defined scope.  
  • Provide HR expertise to the Plant Leadership Team.  
  • Support Labor Relations by leading local collective agreement administration and participation in collective bargaining.  Respond to all Step 1-4 grievances in accordance with established labor strategies
  • Coach & mentor HR Coordinators.  Lead the HR function and ensure that policies and practices are administered in a consistent and professional manner and is;
  • Responsible for sharing best practices, external bench marking and continuous improvement.
 
Education:   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required
 
Required Skills:
  • 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing setting is required
  • 3+ years of experience in managing Labor Relations in a Unionized setting is required
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and High Performing Work Systems a plus;
  • 5+ years of experience in managing talent management programs
  • Experience in creating and delivering full-scale change and engagement programs;
