Our food processing client is seeking a Meat Sales Manager - North America. This is a REMOTE position that supports the Sales Director in planning, organizing, forecasting, implementing and facilitating all facets of the Company sales strategies involving meat/food industry related customers.
 
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Food Science or Marketing.
  • 5-10 years of food ingredient sales experience.
  • Must have experience in meat processing.  
  • 2-5 years field sales experience founded in a relationship sales model.
  • Demonstrates ability to develop effective sales trending and pipeline models in support of business forecasting.
  • Ability to effectively develop sales talent and sales organizational depth.
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively convert sales strategy into an executable sales initiatives in support of organizational goals.
  • Ability to effectively utilize and train others to use existing sales systems to effectively monitor, manage and forecast sales results.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with customers, brokers, distributors and company agents in a manner that promotes the overall sustainability of the business.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work intimately with the Territory Sales Managers on the continued implementation and communication of their Strategic Account Plans.
  • Mentor, coach, and lead the assigned Territory Sales Managers in the management of their geographic regions.
  • Plans, prepares and directs opportunities for new sales growth potential within North America. Including, the management of all opportunities within Salesforce.com
  • Leads efforts related to discovery and attainment of new business opportunities.
  • Conducts needs assessment and implementation of necessary programs relating to training, marketing, advertising and competitive issues.
  • Ensures the continuing maintenance and future growth of existing accounts through the proactive supervision and monitoring of sales within the region.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and positive relations with customers and company agents.
